Comment on The Playstation Vita is still relevant by josh

Vita will fail, and Sony is just too proud to ever take a look at the freaking facts. I’ve had a vita since release, and honestly, I’ve only used it to play little big planet, and MGS. (which is about 10 times). Then, I bought a nexus 4 and gave the vita to my dad(all he uses it for is to look at nature pics -.-)
Vita, there’s no other way to put this, you’re a fucking waste of time and money.

(BETA) Release: TN-V & TN-C for Apache Overkill 2.02 and below (BETA) Release: TN-V & TN-C for Apache Overkill 2.02 and below

Total_Noob’s popular TN-V and TN-C have been ported to the recent Apache Overkill exploit. This is for those of you who happen to have Apache Overkill on 2.02 and below only.
Let me start this article off by saying this so that there will be no confusion
This is a port of the (WLAN) PSPemu kernel exploit that was released on firmware 2.02 with UNO to be able to be used with the recent Apache Overkill exploit
if and only if on 2.02 or below
. This release includes ports of Total_Noob’s
Custom Emulator
Firmwares for your enjoyment thanks to user
All released kernel exploits were patched past 2.02. So if you have Apache Overkill on OFW 2.05-2.06 you will only be able to use VHBL thus meaning no TN-V or C because

Comment on PS Vita firmware 2.12 is out, does not block known VHBL exploits by Scarecrow

Only pirates? Tell me how you run your UMD Collection in Vita without this, please.
Also, I’m thinking in buying a Vita just for playing Pokemon in that OLED screen, lol, since I’m kind of sick with my own PSP games.

Comment on The cold truth: PS Vita sold less in one year than the PSP in 1 month by k3nn

the vita died because no one (in their right mind) wants to re-buy their games in the psp for the vita. when $ony stopped the umd and didn’t give users a way to convert them for playing in the vita, that sealed the vita’s fate. that’s why everyone is looking for a vita hack even for just the psp emu, so they could play their psp games in it.

PS Vita OFW 2.11 available

Earlier today Sony deployed a new version of the Vita firmware to their network.
It is still unclear what the update does, and according to most sources the update is not mandatory for now.
The Z pointed out
on our forums, this is most likely a quick issue fix, probably some minor bug introduced in 2.10 that had to be quickly patched, as is the case for most minor revisions of Sony’s firmwares (i.e if it doesn’t end with a “0″, it’s not worth it).
Of course, it’s worth mentioning you shouldn’t update unless you really have to, especially if you value hacks, homebrews, and all that stuff that the cool kids seem to love. Yeah, I mean us when I say “cool kids”.
Stay tuned!

Open CMA working on OFW 2.10 & Open CMA coming to Linux, OSX Open CMA working on OFW 2.10 & Open CMA coming to Linux, OSX

Open CMA was not working initially with the new Vita 2.10 firmware update, however a quick method to getting it working again has been found.
Not surprisingly, just about everyone who owns a Vita uses the popular Open CMA patch considering the features it brings, such as being able to use CMA offline without an internet connection, blocking connections to Sony and
. So when the official firmware update 2.10 when live yesterday it was quite a bummer when it was initially thought to have patched Open CMA but it actually doesn’t and it requires a small work around to get it up and running.
As you can see in the video below scene member The Z shows it working on the latest update. The solution to getting it working is pretty simple. Simply update to the latest Official CMA version on your

Comment on Opinion: 5 things the PS Vita needs to be revived by zorak_torok

Yep, but if you updated cfw 3.55 to 4.3 where you can connect your vita as an actual vita instead of mobile device you got it made… ps3 is more or less dead with ascension… just like kirby for nintendo…. at some point all will be able to do this without looking for 01g’s or other models of your choice… but then you have to decide if ps3 is worth a second vita when you have the ps-U if multiman crash reports incite bans to determine anyone with sights on uvl or the 4… hehe, remembering 4 is death in japan…. Im NOT paranoid

PPSSPP: Multiplatform PSP Emulator, Now Ported To iOS with 0.7 update! PPSSPP: Multiplatform PSP Emulator, Now Ported To iOS with 0.7 update!

From the developer of the renowned
Dolphin Emulator comes an update to the multiplatform, open source PSP emulator which has just been ported to iOS devices!
PPSSPP has been around for awhile but just received a major 0.7 update and is starting to grow. PPSSPP is a PSP emulator written in C++, and translates PSP CPU instructions directly into optimized
machine code, using efficient JIT dynamic recompilers (dynarecs). PPSSPP can thus run on quite low-spec hardware, including stronger Android phones and tablets (as long as there’s support for OpenGL ES 2.0). PPSSPP is becoming widely available and versatile on just about every platform with completed ports to Windows, Linux, Pandora, OSX, Android and more. The project even has the possibility of making its way to consoles (

Is there anyway I can do any exploits or ANY kind of softmodding to my PS Vita 2.05 so I can play emulators or homebrew stuff like in this video? I already phucked up my PS3 by updating, and now I’m just disappointing to wait for something now.

Mandatory Vita 2.06 firmware update live! Mandatory Vita 2.06 firmware update live!

Sony has just rolled out a new
firmware update for the PlayStation Vita.
Its been awhile since we’ve seen a new firmware update for the Vita with the last firmware update blocking the UNO exploit. Starting now in most regions official firmware update
has been rolled out and is a mandatory update meaning that if you’re on any firmware lower than that you wont have PSN access. Everyone should receive the update shortly if they haven’t already.
Of course another annoying, reoccurring affair with Sony, no details are given as to what the changes are included with the 2.06 update other than “It improves system software stability for some features.” That statement is extremely vague so it’ll take some analyzing to see what has changed. It’s odd they would release this randomly.

Total_Noob has a PSP Kernel exploit on Vita 2.05, no plan to release Total_Noob has a PSP Kernel exploit on Vita 2.05, no plan to release

Scene website dashhacks revealed a few days ago that Total_Noob has a (psp) kernel exploit that works on firmware 2.05.
Total_Noob never ceases to amaze, and he just explained that he has access to a (psp) Kernel exploit that works on the Vita firmware 2.05. As he described to dashhacks writer HolmesInFive, his
upcoming TN-V
(with XMB support) will work on 2.05 through a new kernel exploit, but he has no plan to release that exploit.
TN-V will be publicly released for firmwares up to 2.02, but no kernel exploit is publicly available for firmware 2.05 so far. People running on firmware 2.05 have currently no publicly known way to run (psp) homebrews, either through user or kernel mode. This includes obviously Total_Noob’s Custom firmware “
PSP Kernel exploits have always been rare, and
