Install Pepper Flash Player For Chromium In Ubuntu Via PPA Install Pepper Flash Player For Chromium In Ubuntu Via PPA

As you probably know, the latest Adobe Flash Player versions are available on Linux only
through Google Chrome
, while other browsers are stuck with version 11.2. If you want to use Chromium browser instead of Google Chrome, here's an easy way to install Pepper Flash Player.
The latest Adobe Flash Player that's bundled with Google Chrome doesn't work with browsers like Firefox for instance, because it requires an API called "Pepper" that's only available in Google Chrome and Chromium. A while back we wrote about
using Pepper Flash from Google Chrome in Chromium
browser by installing Google Chrome and manually adding the Pepper Flash plugin but here's an easier way to do it under Ubuntu: by
using a PPA.
In case you're wondering what are the differences between Google Chrome and Chromium (b

Ubuntu 13.10 Codename Announced: Saucy Salamander Ubuntu 13.10 Codename Announced: Saucy Salamander

Mark Shuttleworth has
announced
the codename for the upcoming Ubuntu release:
Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander
I usually spend a few weekend afternoons doodling with a dictionary (it’s actually quite a blast, and I recently had the pleasure of actually knowing what some ponce was talking about when they described something as ‘rugose’).
So today I find myself somewhat short in the naming department, which is to say, I have a name, but not the soliloquy that usually goes with it!
Which is why, upon not very deep reflection, I would like to introduce you to our mascot for the next six months, the saucy salamander.
The development codename of an Ubuntu release takes the form "Adjective Animal". Initially these weren't in alphabetic order - until Dapper DRAKE (6.06).
Up next: Ubuntu 14.04 T T.

Fix: Google Chrome Can`t Be Installed In Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail Due To Missing libudev0 Dependency Fix: Google Chrome Can`t Be Installed In Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail Due To Missing libudev0 Dependency

Google Chrome can't be installed in Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail (fresh install) for now because of a missing dependency: libudev0. Until Google fixes this, here's how to install the missing dependency so you can use Google Chrome (any version) in Ubuntu Raring.
You can install Chromium via Ubuntu Software Center instead of Google Chrome, but you won't get the extra features that Google has added to its browser, like the built-in PDF viewer, the latest
Pepper Flash
and so on.
I've upgraded from Ubuntu 12.10 to 13.04 and
libudev0
was kept during the upgrade so I didn't have any issues installing Google Chrome. But
on a fresh Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail installation, Google Chrome can't be installed because libudev0 is not available in the Ubuntu 13.04 repositories.
Update: this issue has

Minecraft is a cross-platform game (requires Java and runs on Linux - including Raspberry Pi, Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS and Xbox 360) game in which you build constructions from textured cubes in a 3D world. Besides building, the game includes other activities such as exploration, gathering resources, crafting and combat.
The Unofficial Minecraft Installer comes with a script that downloads and installs Minecraft (and OpenJDK 7) in Ubuntu-based Linux distributions, an icon created by Cassidy James that should fit perfectly with the elementary icon theme (but not only) and a Minecraft launcher.

The icon theme doesn't fit Unity too well due to some missing indicator icons and also, there's only a variant for light panels (dark indicator icons), but if you have a bit of time you can fix that. However, the icon theme looks great in GNOME Shell for instance:

available for Ubuntu (12.10 and 12.04) and Fedora (17 and 18)
