Hugh Jackman talks problems with X-Men Origins Hugh Jackman talks problems with X-Men Origins

From what we've seen so far of James Mangold's
The Wolverine
, it looks less a sequel to
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
, and more a total reboot of the character.
That shift in tone is at least partially down to the muted reaction the previous film was met with, a sense of disappointment that was shared by Hugh Jackman himself.
"We could have done better," says Jackman. "Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth
X-Men
, just with different characters. I left unsure if we'd achieved our goal, which was to make sure people understood my character."
With Wolverine also scheduled to appear in
X-Men: Days Of Future Past
, does Jackman see himself continuing in the role for some time to come?
"I wasn't even sure after [
X-Men Origins: Wolverine

New red-band trailer for Kick-Ass 2: watch now New red-band trailer for Kick-Ass 2: watch now

Kick-Ass 2
has released a new international red-band trailer online, containing a few new snippets of footage to sink your teeth into.
The new trailer covers much of the same ground as those that have been released previously, as Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl realise that becoming a superhero is a job for life.
Happily for them, they've got some backup this time out, with Jim Carrey's psychotic Colonel Stars and Stripes leading the charge.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
Looks as though the splatter and swears are every bit as in evidence as they were first time out, with Christopher Mintz-Plasse's Red Mist upping the ante as the self-styled Mother Fucker. McLovin, he ain't…

Hugh Jackman says he’d love to join the Avengers Hugh Jackman says he’d love to join the Avengers

There’s been much talk recently about the character of Quicksilver cropping up in both
The Avengers 2
and
X-Men: Days Of Future Past
, but apparently he isn’t the only mutant with an interest in spanning both franchises…
Hugh Jackman has been talking about the possibility of a series crossover, and has said that he’d love to take Wolverine into the same universe as Iron Man et al.
“One of the great things about (
The Wolverine
) is that a lot of people from Marvel are here and it seems a lot more inclusive than it has been in the past,” says Jackman.
“I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but I think it’s fantastic. I actually just asked the other day, I said, ‘I don’t know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies come together? Why isn’t it possible?’”

Bryan Singer has confirmed that a new character has been cast in
X-Men: Days Of Future Past
, an announcement that could be set to throw a spanner in the works for Joss Whedon's
The Avengers 2
Singer took to Twitter to announce that Evan Peters has signed on to play Quicksilver in the new movie, a mutant with the ability to run at super-speed.
Here's how Singer unveiled the news…
Thrilled to say
#EvanPeters

#XMen
#DaysOfFuturePast
as
#Quicksilver
— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger)
May 24, 2013
Interestingly enough, that tweet replaced an earlier message that began: "Before he was an
#Avenger
, he was just a REALLY fast kid." Perhaps Singer became aware of the potential flames he was fanning...
The problem is that Whedon recently confirmed that Quicksilver and his sister Scarlet

Star Trek Into Darkness cast discuss the possibility of Star Trek 3 Star Trek Into Darkness cast discuss the possibility of Star Trek 3

Star Trek Into Darkness
will be unleashed in cinemas imminently, before director J.J. Abrams turns his attention to
another
Star

With that in mind, we were keen to get the cast’s thought on the possibility of a
Star Trek 3
, and whether or not they could envisage working on the film without Abrams at the helm.
Considering the way in which fans have feverishly clamoured for this sequel, and taking into account that the actors are contracted for three films, you might think that a third installment would be a dead cert.
Watch the video below to find out what the cast think about

Alexander Skarsgard the latest to be linked to The Crow Alexander Skarsgard the latest to be linked to The Crow

It was only last week that Tom Hiddleston was being widely reported as the clear frontrunner to head up Warner’s long-awaited remake of
The Crow
, but there’s already a new name in the equation in the form of Alexander Skarsgard.
Deadline
reports that Hiddleston’s involvement has only amounted to a brief conversation with the studio, with nothing more developing from that early introduction.
Instead, the source is reporting that Alexander Skarsgard is top of the studio’s hit-list, with the part being his to turn down. That said, the report does go on to clarify that no official offer has been made at this stage…
The film will re-tell the classic tale of a murdered rocker, who returns from the dead to take revenge on the killers who did for him and his girlfriend.
Skarsgard is just the

Clark Gregg talks Coulson’s return in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clark Gregg talks Coulson’s return in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg has been discussing his role in ABC’s forthcoming TV series
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
, referring to the “mystery” of Coulson’s reappearance following his on-screen death in
The Avengers
"I don’t know how you could not change going through what he went through,” says Gregg says of Coulson's state of mind during the show. “I think if he hadn’t gone through some kind of change, it wouldn’t be any good. That said, I don’t know if he understands how much he’s changed.”
Does this mean Coulson has actually been resurrected from the dead? Or did Loki do something else to him that merely looked like a mortal wound? Gregg isn’t telling, although he does explain what attracted him to this new story arc.
“When Joss described to me the mystery," explains Gregg, "and the complexity and the

Incredible poster for Thor: The Dark World Incredible poster for Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World
has released an incredible new poster online, showing Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god in lightning-wielding mode.
Things have been a little quiet for the Marvel sequel this far, with its stablemate
Iron Man 3
hogging the
Phase 2
limelight. But, with that film hitting cinemas immenintly, it’s time for Thor’s day in the sun (well, storm).
Following on from the events of
The Avengers
The Dark World
sees Thor dealing not only with his troublesome stepbrother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), but also a bunch of Dark Elves led by the nefarious Malekith (Christopher Eccleston). No wonder his romance with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is on the back-burner.
