getting a black screen with the following message.... boot device not found please install an operating system on your hard disk hard disk (3FO) f2 system diagnostics. I have ran the system diagnostic... start up test, run in test. no issues there. hard disk test says hard disk not exist. don't know how this happened or how to fix it. I have a Dell computer running Windows VIsta. When I open up Google Chrome I do not get to the homepage that I have set as my homepage. I get a page that shows You Tube, Gmail, google search and Chrome store. When I go to settings to set the homepage it shows that it is there. However when I click on the Home button I get the same page. Also the page is very slow to open besides not getting to my homepage that I have set. I recently ran Spybot because my husband updated flash player and there was some junk there that I was able to get rid of. I also uninstalled Flash player plugin and reinstalled. Still have the same problem Any suggestions? Nancy
PC Optimizer Pro :mad: has invaded my desk top computer. It pops up a blue screen on my desktop, then many minutes later the desk top will finally load. I have tried to close the program but the system freezes up. I have tried to remove it through "add/remove programs" and that freezes up as well. I can not get on-line to download anything to help with this as the computer won't load IE... Please help... I don't want to have to reload Windows and loose everything! Thanks
My wireless receiver is connected to the houses network, however its saying the router or network is not receiving internet signal. I am 100% sure this is untrue however because I can access it just fine from a different computer connected to the same network. At the current moment My internet disconnects ever 5-10 minutes at best, however earlier i went about an hour without any trouble. I have tried two separate wireless receivers and both are having same issue. I am terrible with this sort of thing and I would like to know if the problem is my computer, the network or something else.
Hello all im new here and ill be short with writing to save ur time. Just a regular day my pc was working well and i was checking my game status on Stronghold Kingdoms Online and suddenly my screen picture transformed like this i tryed to restart the Pc reinstall the drivers but no luck. HELP!! New member, not that computer savvy. I had a computer crash in January and did a system restore (or what I thought was a system restore). My desktop was completely wiped out. My complete kodak photo albums were lost in the process. Those were my family albums and mean everything to me. I don't have many material things.The pictures of me and my kids mean everything to me. I've often heard that nothing is truly lost in cyber space, you just have to know how to find it. I don't know if that's true or not, but I certainly hope so. Is there anyone who reads this that can show me, if at all possible, how to get my pictures back? I run Windows XP. Thank you in advance to all who respond.
I am almost positve that I have a virus when i go to the wireless network properties and click the security tab, on the dropdown menu security type option, it will auto scrool down to 802.1X option. I cant select the the correct one. The setting is saved as the correct one but open the tab and click save it will save it as the wrong type (802.1X) and I will no longer be able to connect to the network. a couple of other things: -when in firefox, if i hit the ctrl button and only that button, it will zoom out the window. As if I am also using the mouse scrool while hitting the ctrl botton -sometime in firefox the tab im on will auto go back to the prior screen as if i hit the back button I have Windows 7 64bit
Hi, Just a while ago, i downloaded a set of wireless drivers for my Dell inspiron N5110 laptop computer. I restarted the computer but no wireless icon showed up in the system tray. So off i went to the Device manager - Network adapters and then No wireless adapter found. If the adapter is disabled, how can you turn it on? I tried the fn+F2 hotkeys but no change. Just a wee problem, I brought a wireless keyboard and mouse, just a cheap one while my Sony ones are being returned for a repair or replacement, my mouse works fine on all applications except Access, it DOES work in Access as in I can click on things and highlight and all the usual stuff, it's just the scroll wheel does NOT work in this program but it does everywhere else. This seems weird, I did a quick search and have not found any the same as my problem, the keyboard and mouse are from Microsoft, the keyboard is a wireless keyboard 800 and the mouse is1000, they were in the same packet when I brought them, it was marked down, maybe that is why as they seem to be different models. Hello, I have a couple windows xp computers that the mouse is making a single click as a double click sometimes. I made sure that the setting wasn't selected to have a single click be a double click. This doesn't happen all of the time but is starting happen more frequently. Has anyone else ran into this issue or have a fix? Thanks, bjb21
Can you guys help me with this strange problem? I searched and searched for a solution and nothing works to fix it. Some of my shortcuts on my desktop give me a security warning. (Figure #1) This was after moving it from its default location on the C drive. I also get this error in which I don’t even know how to describe. (Figure #2) It happens when I open "My Documents” folder from the desktop or throw anything into the recycle bin. I have Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit. This is a recent install because I put in a new SSD.
I'm on a laptop (Windows 8) at the moment which is plugged into the modem and working fine, however my desktop computer (Windows Vista) will not connect to the internet while plugged into the modem and I get the error message "Cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server (75.75.75.75)". I've tried everything, resetting network adapter, new IP settings, resetting/unplugging modem, called Comcast and spent three hours and went through five different people to no avail. This may be a long shot.. My email (incredimail 2.0) started crashing recently and intermittently, sometimes when I have a certain program open and sometimes just when I maximize it.. I talked to a tech guy for Incredimail and he ran a scan on my computer and at the end it said Incredimail had a trojan horse. He said he would have to redirect me to a microsoft tech but it would cost 99bucks. .I saw the scan myself and the message.. He ran something on command prompt, so I was told I had a trojan horse. I am now using Outlook Express but was kind of worried about this, anyone offer any advice? I have Microsoft Security Essentials and have ran all kinds of scans but nothing.. I am running Win7 64bit. So for some reason my USB ports does not read anything except my Nikon SLR - Apple Ipod and phone among other devices have all been successfully run from these ports, but as of a couple days ago - the PC fails to recognize anything except the camera. I am wondering if this is a firmware issue and where is the USB 2.0 firmware download? Also when viewed in Device Manager - none of the entries show any exclamation points or failure - I'm totally stumped. I just set up a new HP computer with Windows 7 a couple days ago and everything went as normal. My previous computer had a dual monitor setup that I had installed, so I purchased a new video card for my new setup and connected everything, but now my main monitor doesn't come on at all and only the second monitor comes on and acts as the first monitor. I have checked and re-checked that everything is connected and it is. When I open up the "appearances" section for the monitor, there is only one monitor shown and of course it's shown with the big Number 1. No matter what I do, I cannot locate a 2nd monitor. This went so smoothly with my old Vista computer and this one is frustrating me. Your help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi guys! Im having a weird problem. When i browse certain sites my router just blocks part of the information on the site. Examples: - On the welcome page of stumbleupon.com, all images or other graphical object simply wont show, this happens with alot of sites and just seems random. - Twitter is showing NO profile pictures allthough every other object on the page is working fine. whaaa?? - Twitch.tv and justin.tv streaming wont work allthough every other object on the page is working fine (like chat and ad videos) I tried different browsers, updates, restarts, nothing works. This aspire computer when i press the on button it will power on but no picture on the monitor. What i have tried so far, i took the 2 memory chips which are 1gb each, then i installed 2 512 gb then i powered the computer and still no picture on the monitor. i also changed the 2 chips to the other slots and still no picture . My computer is an hp pavillion s5-1020 slimline pc, it has a card reader to the front of the bezel that is suppose to read all kind of media cards, when i first got the computer it was working fine, now if i insert my sd card for my camera the green light would still come on but it won't show any icons in my computer, does anybody know about a simple fix for this kind of thing?
