Inflated disk still shows "Thin" This is driving me a bit bonkers. Here you can see a VM with a thin provisioned disk: Which is confirmed by the UI as well Now I am trying to inflate the vmdk Once done, the disk should show "thick" .. Still thin .. running the inflate command again "confirms" that it isn't thin any more In addition to the error, the VMDK is still shown as thin in both, PowerCLI and the UI. Has anyone seen this before ? Only reference I can find is this VMware KB: Inflating a virtual disk fails with the error: The disk is not thin-provisioned So "You see this error if the virtual disk is not Thin Provisioned" - great, thanks. To take the full CCNA test or ICND1/ICND2? I'm having to recertify my expired CCNA , and I was told by someone to take it in two parts. He said he took the full test and failed it, but he then took the two-part test and he considered them to be much easier than the full version. Practice Tests for ICND1 I am currently preparing for my ICND1 and am looking for some practice tests because I really want to nail it in 1 try. People here have highly recommended Exsim but i am currently on a budget. Does anyone know any other practice tests that are free or cost really less. I am looking for some practice mainly in the simulation type of questions. Boson ExSim-Max Exam Customization Settings (70+ question exams) So I purchased and installed The Boson ExSim-Max to try to get a feel for if I am ready for my ICND1 exam and so far am a little put off by the product. I went to try to take my first simulated exam and it seems that it is impossible to take a practice exam with Boson that is 40-50 questions with a 90 minute time limit (which is what Cisco themselves states the exam parameters are) I have been using the Pearson Practice exams and when I set a 50 question exam with a 90 minute limit in that engine I seem to usually finish with about 12-15 minutes to spare. The Boson practice exams are 71 questions and 90 minutes. Am I crazy or does it seem answering 20+ additional questions (a ~40% increase) in the same 90 minutes seems a bit excessive. CISM/CISA/CRISC/CGEIT June 2013 Feedback Well Just finish my CISM Exam in Malaysia...... Did not really prepare much for the exam as new job role is ISM and too busy.... Passed BCNE 150-130 Passed by the skin of my teeth haha. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. Even though I work with Brocade devices, it was still pretty difficult. PowerShell IDE recommendations? I've finally decided to get a bit more serious about my PowerShell work rather than using vim for all of my editing needs. The scripts I've been working on lately have gotten pretty massive so I figure an IDE should help speed things up and make for some easier debugging as well. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good IDE? I've looked at the PowerShell ISE and just feels like it comes up a bit lacking. Study notes and Practice tests for ITIL intermediate exams Hello, I found a website called actual tests with practice questions on ITIL and other certification exams. In this website, I can find practice tests for ITIL foundation but not for ITIL intermediate or other higher ITIL exams other. I have completed my ITIL foundation and I am taking a training with the training provider for the intermediate exam and I also have OGC books for them. I was wondering if registering for this website would be good choice as I may be able to take practice tests before the real exam. I took a ccna class back in 2008 and we had really nice labs books. The best I have been able to find is lab simulator software. I already have packet tracer. New short term goal: acquire A+ Hey everybody, I ordered Mike Meyer's All-In-One study guide from Amazon and it has just arrived. If I begin studying for the 801 and 802 tests this week, what's a realistic time frame to take the tests? I want to do the tests before returning to school in the fall. I've taken a computer hardware class before and have a long history with computers and peripherals. How difficult are the tests? A+ 220-801 & 220-802 - Seeking Advice on how to take exams! Hi. I have been preparing for the A+ exams (802 & 801) for about a month now. I have working experience and knowledge on the topics but still wanted to make sure I am comfortable with the topics before taking the exams. GNS3 with breakout switch connected to four 3750s. I know that we will probably see an update to the CCIE curriculum soon, but with the current curriculum what can't be done with GNS3 and a breakout switch connected to four 3750s? I ask because at the moment I have access to these switches, but I only have one 2800 router. ANYTHING for 70-689?! I have a free voucher for taking the upgrade Windows 7 -> Windows 8 path by passing the 70-689 exam. So far I have found little to nothing on Amazon or web searches...has anyone found success in any materials or has anyone passed the exam using something that helped?? So far I've used the Windows 8 free MS e-book and the Jump Starts on Microsoft Virtual Academy but I do not think it is enough. The voucher expires next month so I figured if I brushed on exam objectives using a book or exam prep I can have a quick study session before attempting (heck it's free). I get the cost of one link + cost of another link = sum of both = 8. Why is the cost between SW1 and SW3 = 5 ? This is from Page 70 in Odom's ICND2 book. SW1 is connected to SW2 via gi0/1 (this is cost 0+4 = 4 ) SW1 is connected to SW3 via gi0/2 (why is this cost 0 + 5 = 5 ? where is 5 coming from?) CCNA Virtual Lab, Titanium Edition 3.0 I read the thread "How to study for the CCENT/ CCNA . [Tutorial]", and he suggested the Todd Lammle. CCBA Study Guide, which I have heard is very good. I was wondering if it worth buying the CCNA KIT, which includes CCNA : Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide, 7th Edition, CCNA Virtual Lab, Titanium Edition 3.0 and CCNA : Cisco Certified Network Associate Review Guide. I was thinking the Virtual Lab is worth the extra $$$. What do you think. I also have a copy of Boston NetSim 8.0 and I also heard good things about CCNA 640-802 Network Simulator. What do you think? Having console connection problem with one router I have a used Cisco 1700 router I just bought from Ebay. I use TeraTerm to connect to its Console port. I was able to connect to it earlier. But suddenly TeraTerm lost the console connection. After I restarted the router, the following message kept coming up and I was not able to connect. I checked the console cable/connection with another router and it works fine. So I'm leaning towards to the idea that something is wrong with this router. But what could it be?
