CityJet Cadetship For anyone who's interested, Cityjet have opened up their mentored cadetship scheme with FTE Jerez. Consists of application online, and assessments will be held in Dublin 15th, 16th , 17th , 18th April 2013. Applications close 29th of March (3 days!) Unfortunately 102,000EU (£87,000) is a bit steep for me however... but for someone who has the cash and if this is the type of thing you're looking for, it could be worth a shot. 744 Fuel leak and Fuel Flow Hi, I would really appreciate if anyone can explain why the fuel flow gets high when there is a fuel leak? (As per QRH) I know the fuel flow will be sensed right after the engine fuel valve and if there is fuel leak somewhere, wouldn't the fuel flow become less? as the amount of fuel going through the engine fuel valve become less? NAT Procedures & ICAO FPL Hello, Here is a scenario: BAW183 (Heathrow to JFK) is cruising at FL340 in Shannon's airspace. The crew request and receive clearance for an oceanic crossing at FL370 with an entry at DOGAL. When switching back to domestic and approaching DOGAL will the crew be given clearance by Shannon to climb to FL370 before DOGAL ready for the crossing? Or must the crew request this climb from Shannon? Or do the crew make this climb without clearance in the period after being released from Shannon but before reaching DOGAL? Tax Authorities in Germany have carried out raids on Ryanair pilots homes Tax Authorities in Germany have carried out a number of raids on the private homes of Ryanair pilots who are operating on Brookfield/ Storm McGinley contracts. The home raids were carried out under Court Order which the Tax Authorities served on the pilots before entering their homes. On each occasion, a number of personnel from the Tax Authorities questioned pilots for several hours before seizing their personal computers, files and documents for further inspection and investigation. Given the current investigations by Tax Authorities in Italy, this latest situation in Germany reflects a particularly serious and worrying development.
