separation anxiety and\or teething and bedtime

bedtime has gone down the pooper with my self settler needing me to sit in the room....not touch her, just be there
it's been like this for about 5 days.
she's also cutting her canines and has been very snotty and blocked up
and has been waking early.
and very clingy to me in particular, crying if I leave her with daddy even
just looking or reassurance that its normal and will end as she has been a difficult sleeper and we were only just n track the last few months!

Late 2nd Trimester Fatigue - Anyone else?

I was feeling *so* much more energetic after week 12 or so... but here I am, 25 weeks and I am completely exhausted again. Like "1st trimester can't stay awake for dinner" exhausted. Does it correlate with more growing on the baby's part or something?
Anyone else experiencing this?

TTC for twins

Is there anything you can do to increase your chances of twins?
I would love your stories if you have tried anything. Like I have heard of taking wild yam root or vitex. Anything else?

Are all Johnson's products bad now then??

I've just read a thread stating how bad the hair shampoo is. I do not use Johnson's baby shampoo, I use ASDAs little angels shampoo (which leaves lo's hair gorgeous) but I do use baby bedtime bath and bedtime oil. Is that stuff bad too? I have loadddddss of Johnson's products that people bought for me while I was pregnant for her. Shall I get rid of them? Or maybe use the lotion on myself or something? I have simple baby products too which I'm glad for now!

Extremly long vent about why I am DONE with today..

Oh my gosh, I feel like I've been hit with about 100 pounds of stress today! Do you ever have one of those days where it just seems like EVERYTHING is going wrong? Well, today is that day for me! (please proceed with caution, because this is a BIG, LONG, whiney rant)
#1. In the Dog House:
The first and most stressful situation of the day is with our puppy. We are out of state for 5 weeks, although now we only have less than 3 weeks left, while my bf is training for a new position with his company. I came out of state with him because I'm pregnant, I don't have my own car or a job, and I have no family where we live in North Carolina, so I didn't want to stay home alone.
Anyway, the people we setup to take care of our puppy while we were gone are demanding that we come back NOW and get the

Period-type sensation

Anyone have period-type sensation for a couple days off and on? Not cramping. Not even really pain per se. More like discomfort and feeling bloated or like your period is about to come on...or even like you have to have a bowel movement or something. Feels like I'm constipated but I'm not. Hard to explain.
Baby's moving like crazy the last couple of days so I almost wonder if she's causing it somehow. I don't know. Making me paranoid (more so than usual). Anyone else?
It's not round ligament pain because it's more of a general sensation rather than a sharp, acute pain.

Question about back pain

I know back pain is normal during pregnancy, but what do you do to ease it a bit? I don't have constant back pain, but it comes and goes. When I have it, it hurts really badly, but taking Tylenol or sitting against a comfortable pillow helps. I've also noticed that my left leg hurts a little (not a lot) when my back starts hurting. Are these two pains related somehow?
Also, how bad does the back get? I can't imagine what it'll be like in 3 months.

Help me find a carrier :)

I am looking to purchase a baby carrier for occasional outings when I don't want to lug around a carseat or stroller. I also intend to use it when we visit family this July and we will be outside some in the evenings.
My son was born May 1st of this year. He already has excellent head control and hates having his feet restricted as in a sling or when swaddled. He tends to get a heat rash and sweats a good bit when warm so the carrier must be as airy as possible.
I am 5 feet tall and skinny but big busted - I wear a DD, so I'm having a hard time deciding on a carrier that would work for my body type. If the carrier is over $60/$70 or so, I'd prefer if it could fit multiple body types so my husband can use it too.

yeast infection - mom fail!

DS has a yeast infection in his diaper area...I thought it was diaper rash, since hes been teething for awhile, but its been a week and a half and its still there. I googled it and it looks like a bad yeast infection. I have him on anti-fungal now, so hopefully it'll get better soon!
Just so mad I didn't realize it sooner

Just found out we are having twins!

Wow. I NEVER imagined I'd be announcing that we are having twins. We just got back from our first appointment and I'm 10 weeks today. My husband doesn't have any twins on his side of the family, and the only twin on my side that I know of was my great-grandfather. So it is a shock to say the least.
How did everyone else feel when they found out? I'm obviously so excited, but very very nervous. I was starting to feel nervous just thinking about one baby haha. Any advice, any good reads, anything? Haha I just don't know where to begin with my thoughts. I'm just nervous because this is my first pregnancy, and being a new mom gets even more nerve-racking when you find out you are having two :)

Extended nursing and baby's diet

Ask my ped about extended nursing today and although he was supportive about nursing to a year he seemed less excited about nursing past it. He wasn't negative about it at all but insisted that I give her whole milk once a day (again after she turns one) for her brain development.
I really don't like the ideal of that at all. My husband has milk intolerance issues and I don't drink milk that much myself. I get the calcium thing but not the brain development.
Please tell me I am not wrong in thinking she can get those same benefits from other things.. and if so what?

Maternity Clothes-Canada

Hey! I am getting to the point of (mainly bloat) needing the dreaded change over to maternity clothes. Problem is, it seems as though there are very limited options to shop from here in Canada. We've got Thyme maternity, Old Navy and some stores along those lines with a very small, and outdated selection. The problem I find with these store is, I am 28 years old, not 54 years old....the fashions available are AWFUL! So, Canadian ladies, where do you do your shopping??!!

Am I the only idiot that didn't realize this?

Some of you may have read a thread I wrote last week discussing how put out I was after seeing another doctor in my office's practice. I was so much so that I called and requested that I not be treated by this doctor again, especially during delivery. Well... The office manager finally got up with me today and told me that there is no guarantee that this doc won't deliver me. If he is the one on call I have to use him! Likewise, my doctor, whom I love and trust completely won't be the doc to deliver me unless he is on call. It may not even be an M.D., it may be a midwife or D.O. WTF! Am I the only idiot that didn;t know the doctor I've been planning all this stuff with and teliing my wishes to most likely won't even get to deliver me. It will probably be a complete stranger or with my luck

Bikini or not?

Hello lovelies!
I just wanted some opinions as to whether you think its ok for me to wear a bikini on my holiday next week... I am going to San Tropez.
I dont really want to spend out on a maternity costume for just a week but I'm worried people will stare if I wear a bikini - my bump is pretty huge and i don't want people to think I'm being all 'look at me' because I wouldn't be at all! I'm not a big sunbather it would just be for swimming and walking around the pool with my DD.
Xxx
