Lancaster uni - boring?

I've applied for Lancaster University to study Psychology and I love the sound of the course, but I'm worried because I've heard it's pretty boring! I'm from Manchester where this is always something to do, am I better off going somewhere else or is it not really as boring as some people make out?...
