iClear30 won't make connection on ProVari

Help? I'm trying to help one of my customers that uses a ProVari. I don't have a ProVari, so it make it difficult. The iClear 30 will not make contact on his mod. On most mods you can pull up the center pin, but from what I can tell, this cannot be done on the ProVari. Any suggestions or similar experiences?...

the need for a backup?

i just got a provari mini and was just wondering how necessary a backup device would be for going out (got plenty of at home backups). i usually take 2 twists to work with me but would love it if i could just take my provari.

Why do people choose full size ProVari's over the mini when the mini can be extended when necessary? Maybe I'm just the type of person that wants to keep their options open but it seems that the mini is more portable and when I want more battery life I can just use the extension.
